Two days ago, I had a really rough day at the school. We went on a level 2 lockdown twice in the same day because there was someone in the neighborhood shooting people. The students were just really off task and were very difficult to deal with. So, today was just spectacular! Oh, I guess I should have given you a little background too. God is soooo great! I had an amazing opportunity to go to a professional development conference last weekend for middle school (and prosepective) teachers. Also, I have been in my field experience at a middle school. I have been teaching for 2 weeks now in an eighth grade special education math class, and today was by far the best day! My students were very much engaged, and they were learning! From todays lesson, I know that I have truly establised rapport with the students! They even invited me to their Thanksgiving Party (on their own free will) that the special education classes are having. It was a tremendously awesome day, and I believe God gave me this day to remind me why I want to teach middle school. :) I hope everyone back home is doing well! Take care and be safe! --Megan Wow! I will be working in Shelby doing BP & blood sugar readings. Still needed: 1 person for basketball 2 people for massage, & per e-mail from Sherry Troyer/organizer: IF YOU KNOW OF SOMEONE THAT CAN EVEN DO A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME...(just let me know & I will contact Sherry)...... come out and join us........it will be loads of fun & a great opportunity to witness, share Jesus with others..... I moved into camp today and already I feel I have grown tremendously in my walk with God. It has been my prayer for weeks that God would just use this camp to mold me into who He wants me to be instead of me doing what I want to do when I want to do it. The sermon yesterday made my conviction even stronger...holiness. Ever since, I have been singing in my head "Holiness, holiness, is what I long for. Holiness is what I need..." Today God revealed myself to me (if that makes any sense). He showed me sins I commit all the time without even realizing I am sinning. I just want to post this because I want God to get the glory for what He is doing in my life! This is a praise and an answer to prayer! So I am very excited.
