The Christian life is meant to be a joyful journey, and quite frankly, a lot of fun! Jesus said, “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete” (John 15:11). The joy that He is speaking of is the joy that comes from loving God and others, and from spending time in fellowship with both.
One of our goals at Harvest Fellowship is to provide the opportunity to worship God in a comfortable, non-threatening environment that helps enable people to draw closer to God and to fellow believers. As such, we provide various ministries for the entire family.
- Home Bible Studies We offer small group, home Bible studies in order to greater facilitate family worship. In these small groups we seek to bring multiple families together for fellowship and Bible study, in which spouses, parents and children all actively participate together. Our goal is that through this ministry families will will have the opportunity to study God’s Word together as a unit, rather than merely as individuals.
- Children’s Ministry: Most of our children’s ministry takes place in our Home Bible Studies, as we seek to instill within them the biblical principles that will guide them through life and to teach them that learning about God can be fun and engaging! We believe that God’s Word teaches that parents are to be the primary source of spiritual education for their children, and we seek to help parents in this endeavor by training them in how to teach the Bible to thier children. In addition, we regualrly have Children’s/Family events that give families the opportunity to gather and fellowship with one another!
- Youth Group Our youth meet for their own time of fellowship and Bible study each Tuesday night at 7pm. Through music, Bible study and fun, our young people have an opportunity to worship God in a very real and personal way. Led by our Student Minister, Tim Bongiorno, the Harvest Fellowship youth group, or “Freaks” as the call themselves, are a vital part of our church body, and probably the most fun. - “Peacemakers” Paintball Team If you are looking for an exciting way to fellowship with other Christians, or are just looking for a great activity with great people, then the “Peacemakers” Paintball Team is for you! We are always looking for more guys and girls to come be a part of this growing ministry, as we have fun together and seek to share the love and Word of God with others on the paintball field. Don’t wait, come play today!
- “Fellowship of the Games” Come join us every Friday night from 7-9pm as we eat snacks, drink sodas and play games! Designed for teens and college students, our Friday “Game Night” provides a safe and fun environment to just “hang out”. We have video game systems running on two large screens, and we have tables set up for you to being in your own CCG/TCGs as well as table-top miniature games. We provide the snacks and sodas…FREE! You can even bring your own games, as long as they are rated Teen or less (all games subject to approval).
